Overview

Daily Shia Polls ("the app") is a quiz app covering Shia Islamic history, theology, and traditions. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

If you do not sign in: the app collects nothing. Your quiz progress, saved questions, and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere.

If you choose to sign in with Google (an optional feature used to back up your progress across devices), we collect:

• Your name and email address, provided by Google at sign-in
• Your quiz progress, saved questions, and app settings, so they can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices

This data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database service. It is tied to your Google account and is not shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising.

What We Don't Do

• We do not show ads
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not collect your location
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties

Reporting a Mistake

The app includes an optional "report a mistake" feature. If you use it, the question number, category, question text, and whatever description you type are sent directly to our contact email via your device's email app. We only receive what you choose to send.

Data Deletion

If you signed in with Google and want your synced data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will remove it. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally on your device immediately.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
